A new technical assistance program focused on advance pricing agreement procedures was launched on October 15, in collaboration between Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) and Italy’s Revenue Agency. This initiative is part of the Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) program, a joint effort by the UNDP and OECD.
The launch included a video conference with key stakeholders, including SRC Deputy Chairman Rafayel Gevorgyan. In his speech, Gevorgyan emphasized the value of sharing experience and best practices, thanking the UNDP and OECD for supporting the successful implementation of previous programs. “This new program focused on advance pricing agreements will allow us to better address modern tax challenges and provide greater certainty for both taxpayers and the tax authority,” he noted.
Director of the Italian Revenue Agency’s Large Business Taxpayers Directorate Fabio Ignaccolo, also highlighted the productive cooperation between the two tax administrations. He emphasized the importance of expanding these efforts, particularly in improving SRC employees’ expertise through direct collaboration with Italian experts and applying modern transfer pricing methodologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two agencies signed a document formalizing the scope of their cooperation under the TIWB initiative, officially launching the fourth technical assistance program. Both sides committed to ensuring the implementation of the reached agreements and maintaining continuous collaboration.
